Throughout his career, he has represented thousands of clients facing OVI, traffic, and criminal charges, gaining extensive experience in courtrooms throughout Ohio.
Doug is originally from Anderson Township, Ohio. After graduating from Anderson High School, he went on to graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. After college, Doug returned to Cincinnati and obtained his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
After law school, Doug quickly began to focus his interest in the area of criminal defense. He began his career and honed his courtroom skills serving for nearly five years as a public defender in Franklin County, Ohio (Columbus) where he defended hundreds of clients facing criminal misdemeanor charges. After several years in public service, Doug founded Riddell Law with the goal of combining top notch service, aggressive defense strategies, and affordable fee structures. As the founder and managing attorney at Riddell Law, Doug works tirelessly for his clients to minimize the impact criminal charges have on their lives and careers.
Award & Recognitions
- Certified in the Approved Curriculum for DUI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course designed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Doug has completed the same training required of Ohio police officers to conduct roadside field sobriety testing.
